Establishing SAFE—Stop Abuse for Everyone
On behalf of the clients served by Women In Distress of Broward County, Inc. (WID), who received it, we thank your car charity for your vehicle donation of a 1991 Ford.
Last year we served over 4,400 women and children at our Moran Family Center and emergency shelters and fielded over 6,000 hotline calls. The vehicle you provided will be used by a woman who will benefit greatly. Many women and children fleeing abuse leave with literally nothing but the clothes on their backs. They deserve a fresh start and the means to remain abuse free. Your donation will help our clients stay independent, find employment, take her children to day care, or fulfill many other necessary requirements for survival. It is only through support such as this that we can continue to keep our doors open and work toward our mission—to Stop Abuse for Everyone (S.A.F.E).
