Please accept our heartfelt thanks for providing Lutheran Haven with the 1992 Buick Roadmaster through your car charity. Your gift will go a long way, literally, and figuratively, in providing transportation for our nursing home and assisted living residents. We are very grateful for the car donation!
A few months ago, a tow truck came and carried one of our cars away, permanently. The cost to repair the vehicle was just not feasible. And then one of those “coincidences” happened. Haven friend, Tom Willoughby, came by my office and explained to me your agency’s mission. His visit was timely. Tom said Charity Cars car donation could help. And indeed they did!
Many of our residents are on Medicaid; others on limited income who fall “in the cracks” of our welfare system. Transportation is one of our major services especially taking residents for medical appointments. You filled a major need. The Buick Roadmaster will give our residents a comfortable ride to their doctor’s offices.
When you presented the Haven with the Buick Roadmaster, I was impressed with all the other folks who also received a car that day. There were many grateful hearts and lots of tears of joy.
