I feel like I have been given a huge chunk of my life back

I cannot express my gratitude for the 1999 Toyota Corolla. This vehicle has made an enormous impact in my life. I was divorced in 2004 and I have two children and was forced to get on state assistance due to my son having special needs, I was unable to work at that time. I had to depend on family and friends for just about everything. I lost my pride, my independence and fell into a state of depression. With this vehicle I can now take my children to their doctor's appointments and gain employment, which will get me off of state assistance. I feel like I have been given a huge chunk of my life back. I would like to express my deepest appreciation for the donation of the 1999 Toyota Camry to a client I work with. I am a Family Self Sufficiency for a local housing authority. The primary function of my role is to help families achieve self-sufficiency through education, training and employment over a five year period. The goals are generally geared towards employment needs that will allow the family to earn a livable wage so that the need for welfare assistance will not exist. I research your organization and found it to be very remarkable, so when my client came to me in desperation over lack of transportation to and from work, we thought we would try to apply. As we all know, part of becoming and remaining employed, and staying on the path to self-sufficiency, requires reliable transportation. Most of the families I work with have vehicles and transportation, however this one particular client had found herself relying on rides to work. With this new opportunity, this client will be able to begin regular work and achieve her goal of obtaining and maintaining employment. This in essence will lead to a more positive outlook on her future and allow her the opportunity to gain further independence from such government programs.

Getting in my car sounds so good to me

When I received the 1994 Volvo 850 it was at the right time because of the cold weather. Here in Philadelphia it gets to 9 degrees below and it is a blessing I don't have to stand outside at the bus stop to see if the bus will be on time or even show up. I am able to take my daughter to school and pick up my medications at anytime instead of waiting until Saturday because the pharmacy closes by the time I get off work and caught the bus. At the end of this week it will be a blessing to get in "may car" (that sounds so good to me) and go do my grocery shopping and pay bills without waiting for someone to take me or having to pay cab to bring me home.
