1-800 Charity Cars is a program like no other, providing assistance to disadvantage families

I would like to express my deepest appreciation for the donation of the 1999 Toyota Camry to a client I work with. I am a Family Self Sufficiency for a local housing authority. The primary function of my role is to help families achieve self-sufficiency through education, training and employment over a five year period. The goals are generally geared towards employment needs that will allow the family to earn a livable wage so that the need for welfare assistance will not exist. I research your organization and found it to be very remarkable, so when my client came to me in desperation over lack of transportation to and from work, we thought we would try to apply. As we all know, part of becoming and remaining employed, and staying on the path to self-sufficiency, requires reliable transportation. Most of the families I work with have vehicles and transportation, however this one particular client had found herself relying on rides to work. With this new opportunity, this client will be able to begin regular work and achieve her goal of obtaining and maintaining employment. This in essence will lead to a more positive outlook on her future and allow her the opportunity to gain further independence from such government programs.

1-800 Charity Cars is a program like no other, it has been a pleasure to work with your agency and even more of a pleasure to see how an organization strives to provide assistance to disadvantage families trying to make a better future for themselves and their families.
